The Holidays 2009

Below are some select sets of pictures taken during the 2009 Holidays. The first set of pictures is from Thanksgiving. I had my first Thanksgiving at the Karaffa house this year - lots of good BBQed turkey and Tofurkey too. A few days after that we set up Christmas decorations at the Karaffa’s and at our apartment. Then we spent a day hanging out with my good friends Andrew and Lucas - we had a great afternoon on the beach at Crystal Cove. Some of the really awesome photos were taken with a lens I was renting - a Canon 70-200mm f/4L IS.

Sara & I first celebrated a pre-Christmas in Huntington Beach, and then headed up to the Bay Area for the first NorCal Pinwanswathen (or at least an interpretation of it) and the real Christmas. The Grapevine was closed, so the drive up took 9 hours, but the holiday was fun, and would not have been complete without some wine tasting. Some of these photos were taken with another lens rental - a Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5.
