In August of 2004, my Dad and I reached the top of Mt. Whitney, the highest peak in the lower 48 states (14,498 feet high). The roundtrip was completed in 16 straight hours, during which we hiked 20 miles with over 6,000 feet of elevation gain. Below are some pictures from our trek.
