JONATHAN SIEGRIST

ABOUT ME

Favorite Quotes  Albert Einstein, “It is a miracle that curiosity survives formal education.” and Benjamin Franklin, “Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.”

A US citizen born in Geneva, Switzerland and raised in California and Texas, I most recently left Costa Mesa, California, a city in Orange County. I was there living and working on my Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at UC Irvine in Dr. Marc Madou’s Lab. I have since moved to Dublin, Ireland for a short time to work as a post-doctoral researcher at the Biomedical Diagnostics Institute. That time is coming to an end, and I’ve already started thinking about next steps, which will hopefully take us back to the SF Bay Area.

My wife Sara (some wedding pics on the right) is a beautiful and amazing math teacher, and we love nothing better than spending time together cooking a gourmet meal and watching a great movie. She also has a blog here.

Some other things and stuff that interest me and/or I like:

  4. Netflix (missing that here in Dublin)

  5. Breakfast

  6. Pretending I’m good at cooking when really Sara is the gourmet chef
